Try a Full Body Massage Chair, It’s Better Than a Masseuse!

Happy lady resting full body on sofa

It’s a daring title, but I’m going to write it anyway, because I truly think that full body massage chairs are better than masseuses!

And to prove it, I’ll show you how nice it is to sit in one, and show you all you can do with it that’s better than a masseuse!

So if you’re trying to find out the difference between a masseuse and a full body massage chair, well here’s the blog that’s going to pit them together on three categories, and see who wins!

Masseuses vs Full Body Massage Chairs

Who wins?

Round #1: What Can Give You More Massage Styles? Full Body Massage Chair or Masseuse?

This one is one of the harder categories to target right off the bat, because masseuses are often specialised in one or two types of massage, while a full body massage chair is a jack of all trades, and has its own unique features.

Some of the main massage styles that you will see in a full body massage chair include:

  • Kneading
  • Tapping
  • Shiatsu
  • Swedish
  • Rolling
  • Pinching
  • Rubbing
  • Stretching
  • Airbag Compression

And many many more. The massage styles of a full body massage chair are not limited to origins, such as Swedish massages or Thai massages, instead including styles of movement.

An example of this is how Thai massages often incorporate lots of stretching in the massage method, involving making sure the muscles stretch and get pulled to help them loosen.

This doesn’t even touch into how many massage programs are available in a full body massage chair. When you visit a massage spa, you might have up to eight options to choose from, however in a full body massage chair, there’s up to 20 more to choose from!

That’s why this category has to go to the full body massage chair! The value you get from a full body massage chair will beat that of a masseuse any day!

To even try and replicate this, you would need multiple masseuses to work together to try and offer the same massage options as a full body massage chair.

Round #2: Which Massage Feels Better? Full Body Massage Chair or Masseuse?

This is ultimately one of the hardest categories to mention, so what I can do is show you the difference rather than say my personal thoughts.

Our first piece of evidence comes from Shannon, a customer of ours who bought the Master Drive Plus massage chair.

Her testimonial showed us how much she preferred having a full body massage chair in comparison to going to the masseuse.

To summarise the video if you’re unable to open it, Shannon explains how the full body massage chair has helped to loosen the muscles in the back, and crush through those hard crystals in her back.

It’s helped her recover from her sports injuries, as well as improve her overall recovery.

Now I know what you might be thinking, even if I show you more anecdotal evidence, it’s still one sided, right?

Here’s where it gets better!

One of our partner massage chair brands, Family Inada, have done their own survey, directly comparing the feeling of a masseuse to a full body massage chair.

The results might actually shock you!

Out of the 100 people tested, when compared to Shiatsu massage specialists, a whopping 69% of people chose the Family Inada Robo full body massage chair. This was mainly due to the way the full body massage chair presses against the person.

In comparison to laying on your stomach, which often feels uncomfortable for many due to the stomach being compressed for breathing, a full body massage chair allows you to lay on your back, and enjoy a relaxing massage at the same time.

That’s why for this category, we’re also going to give this to the full body massage chairs!

Round #3: Which is More Affordable? Full Body Massage Chair or Masseuse?

This depends on whether you want to get a massage often or not.

For us, we consider a frequent massage goer to be someone who goes for a massage more than once a month. If you find yourself going for massages, maybe because you’ve got pain and stress from work, then chances are you’ll find that having a full body massage chair is more affordable for you in the long run.

Otherwise, you’re better off seeing a masseuse perhaps once or twice every year!

We’ve run the calculations on another blog which heavily consider whether buying a massage chair is worth it. If you’re interested in that, then that’s the best place to start.

For this round, we think it’s best to share the prize between masseuses and full body massage chairs!

Conclusion: Full Body Massage Chairs are Much Better Than Masseuses

The best part about a full body massage chair?

You don’t need an appointment!

It’s available for you, at any time you need it.
